Preparation Time: 3 - 5 minutes

Proofing and Resting Time: 30 minutes

Baking Time: 10 – 15 minutes

Outcome: 22 Biscuits

Tools needed: Mixer including bowl, Kitchen scale, baking tray

Ingredients and Method

Ingredients

  • 125 g Avena Vital
  • 375 g Cake flour
  • 10 g Baking powder
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 250 g Butter
  • 75 ml Whole egg

Method

  1. Mix all Ingredients with a beater for 3 – 5 minutes slow, until a smooth dough has been formed. Be sure not to over mix the dough.
  2. Once your dough is smooth, leave the dough in the bowl and allow to stand in a cool place for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Roll the dough out to a thickness of approx. 0.5 cm by hand or machine and cut out shapes with a cookie / biscuit cutter.
  4. The oven should have a temperature of 160° C when you put the biscuits in.
  5. Bake for 10 - 15 minutes (depending on size/weight).
  6. Once cool decorated the biscuits as you desire.
